Maintenance of your shade sails - 5.0 out of 5 based on 3 votes

MaintenanceYour shade sail can remain in place all year round *, however it will require periodic maintenance to ensure that the fabric remains tight and free of any debris etc especially before winter and the onset of rains. * Subject to site survey.

The Shade Sail Company offers the optional service to maintain your shade sail and structure at the end of summer by dismantling the sails and all rigging. We then clean the sails, rigging and fittings before packing away in a custom made bag for you to store over the winter period.

Our spring service is based on re-installing the system ready for the summer. These services are available in October/November and April/May.

Our associate installers also offer this service.

Fittings and Fixtures - 4.5 out of 5 based on 6 votes

Fittings and Fixtures Fittings and Fixtures

We use only the highest quality marine grade stainless steel fittings and rigging which give the sail structure a high aesthetic profile as well as being easy to maintain, and are of course long lasting.

Posts

All our post installations vary from being sited in concrete to floor and wall bolted systems.

Shade sails are attached to free standing upright posts or a suitable fixing point on a building with stainless steel fixing points and rigging. All uprights are directly floor mounted or embedded in a concrete footing, depending on site conditions. Freestanding uprights are available in stainless steel, powder coated or painted steel and timber.

Fabrics Fabrics

Our shade sails are made from premium grade high-density polyethylene material, which offers up to 97% UV protection.
Each sail is interlock seamed with twin lock stitching. The shade sail edges are hemmed with 50mm heavy duty UV stabilised webbing in matching or contrasting colours. Stainless steel D rings are used for the fixing points.
For large span sails we use a stainless steel cable system and easy glide d rings which capture the continuous cable at each corner or point.

Please note that we only manufacture custom made Shade Sails and do not stock or install pre-made shade sails.

Installation of Shade Sails

“Fail to plan and you plan to fail”

There are many things to consider when planning your shade sail just as with any building project. Our thorough planning and design service will make certain that your shade sail provides you with all the benefits you intend it to. We carefully consider your particular requirements when we plan the location of your shade sail system.

Shade Sails

Your shade sail/s will be installed firm and tight so as to reduce wind-flap in the shade fabric. Shade fabric that is loose and flapping in any wind will cause premature failure due to mechanical breakdown. All of our custom designed sail structures are manufactured and installed to engineer’s specifications.

Please note that in certain circumstances (i.e. community pools or commercial projects) it may be necessary to obtain local government authority permission prior to installation of shade sail structures.

Please note that we only manufacture custom made Shade Sails and do not stock or install pre-made shade sails.
